Community Information Session held

It was a busy time for the AIE team last night.

Thanks to all the interested community members who dropped in to our Community Information Session at Steelers Leagues Club. There was considerable interest in how the Port Kembla Gas Terminal would work, the facilities involved and in the proposed pipeline route.  Our safety and environment team members were also on hand to cover off on these key areas with a number of attendees.

Several local business people and service providers stopped in to find out more about the project and discuss how it might positively impact the local economy and provide opportunities for their businesses in the future.

Some of our team then headed out to give a presentation to the August meeting of the Port Kembla Chamber of Commerce. Thank you to President Melinda Shobrook and Secretary David North for facilitating our visit and a special thanks to Vice President Ash Fisher for going above and beyond when IT issues presented some challenges to our presentation. It was great to meet more of the local business people and to see how passionate they are about promoting Port Kembla.

If your local community group or organisation would like to arrange a presentation on the PKGT, please contact us and we will be pleased to work with you to find a suitable time to address your group. If you weren’t able to attend last night’s information session, but would like to know more about our plans or have specific questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us via info@ausindenergy.com

At the announcement of the Port Kembla Gas Terminal site: AIE CEO, James Baulderstone; the Hon. Niall Blair, MLC – Minister for Primary Industries, Regional Water and Minister for Trade and Industry; and Lord Mayor of Wollongong, Gordon Bradbery AM.
