A joint venture between Tokyo Electric and Chubu Electric, two of Japan’s largest electricity companies. JERA is the largest buyer of LNG in the world, operates 8 import terminals, is an equity owner in four Australian LNG export projects and operates a fleet of LNG carriers. JERA also operates over 77GW of thermal power generation, which is equivalent to about 1.5 times the entire generating capacity of Australia’s National Electricity Market (NEM) .
